Vietnam’s economic growth recovers

International Business News – Vietnam’s GDP grows 7.72% in the second quarter, returning to pre-COVID-19 levels.

According to the Vietnam News Agency, Nguyen Thi Huong, Director General of Statistics of Vietnam’s Ministry of Planning and Investment, said at a press conference on Vietnam’s economic and social statistics for the second quarter of 2022 on June 29 that in the first half of this year, most industries and fields in Vietnam have improvement. In the second quarter of this year, Vietnam’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 7.72% year-on-year, the fastest growth rate in the second quarter since 2011.

Agence France-Presse said that in the first half of this year, Vietnam’s GDP grew by 6.42%, which is close to the 7% growth level before the epidemic.
